The Artistic Tool Reflects You
The artistic tool reflects you!
I love bringing creations—whether it’s my own painting, a poem, a prose text, a quotation, or even a film—into the art-based coaching process and using these artistic tools in sessions!
Why?
Because my personal and client experiences have shown me that these artistic tools take us much deeper and address the root of the everyday difficulties and blocks we carry, whether these seem small or large, stem from trauma, or are transgenerational.
Artistic tools reveal a lot about our unconscious mind. Images, words, or phrases that surface spontaneously in response to a “trigger word” tell us much about what lies beneath without requiring conscious thought.
I’ve prepared an ASSOCIATION TEST based on this principle. If you’d like, try it! You don’t need anything special—just what’s around you:
- Paper
- A writing tool
- A calm environment
Important: Don’t overthink your answers. Simply write down the moods, images, colours, or words that first come to mind!
Don’t worry, there are no wrong answers! Shall we begin?
Task 1: Write down the three animals you like most, one under the other. Pay attention to the order! Write your favourite first, then the next, and so on.
Task 2: Write down what comes to mind when you think of a forest. You can write single words in a list or full sentences, whichever feels right.
Task 3: Describe the sea. Similar to the previous task, you may write full sentences or just words.
Task 4: Name a hot drink. Describe how it feels to you, how you perceive it. Write whether you like it and how often you consume it, or would like to.
Task 5: Imagine a white wall. What comes to mind? Write it down!
