Soul-lifting
paintings

Creativity has been a constant companion throughout my entire childhood, evidenced by a painting of mine that has survived since I was two years old, which my mother has cherished ever since. I especially loved doing DIY projects and tinkering with my father, which attracted me much more than kitchen activities—and that remains true to this day. Over time, I moved beyond just drawing to explore knitting, crocheting, macramé, and batik. Later on, I also became engrossed in pottery, decoupage, mosaic making, and glass painting. My love for painting can be traced back to my elementary school years, when I saw a reproduction of a Van Gogh painting in a local pastry shop in my hometown.

The Origin Story of My Paintings

“I walked in with my cousin to have some cake, and I saw this painting, and I couldn’t even put into words the fantastic feeling that washed over me. I remember standing there in front of the painting for minutes, and I think I was staring with my mouth wide open, thinking, ‘Oh my God, this is so beautiful, I want to paint like this too,'” I recalled in an interview.

This experience led me to try oil painting, and I began learning from various artists as a self-taught painter until I finally came across Valdor Art in 2018, which opened up a new path for me.

What was that path? Listen to the interview below, conducted by Andrea Dorogi, one of the founders of the Valdor Art Drawing and Painting School.

My Exhibitions

To date, I have had 10 exhibitions where visitors could always see my latest works. My solo exhibitions include the following:

  • Unio Gallery – April 7, 2019: You can watch the opening ceremony [here].

  • Soul in the Brush – Lipták Villa, April 29, 2020.

  • Female Souls – Lipták Villa, February 7, 2024: This was a very dear and moving opening for me, as my eldest son, Levente, recited one of my favorite poems, and my friend Árpád Szabó, a cellist, performed a short concert for the special occasion. You can watch the opening [here].

  • Discover the Colours of Your Soul! – University of Debrecen, September 29, 2024: You can watch the opening [here].

  • Soul Doors: Stories Hidden in Colours – Bridel, Luxembourg, November 26, 2024.

My paintings are well-suited for spiritual and self-awareness work. For this reason, many helping professionals—including psychologists, coaches, trauma therapists, speech therapists, developmental and special education teachers, and individuals engaged in self-discovery—use the “Colourful” creative artistic coaching card decks created from my work with great effectiveness.
